Sialon Ceramic SIALON


SIALON is a novel ceramic material formed by the solid solution of silicon nitride (Si3N4) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3). Its full name is silicon-aluminum-oxygen-nitride ceramic. Sialon ceramic tools, fabricated on this base material, combine the high toughness of silicon nitride with the high hardness of aluminum oxide. Designed specifically for machining difficult-to-cut materials and high-temperature cutting applications, these high-performance tools are widely used in modern machining processes.
