Dental screw

Dental screw substrates are primarily made of pure titanium, titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V), and medical-grade stainless steel (316L). Some high-end models utilize medical-grade zirconium alloys. All materials must meet stringent medical standards for biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and non-sensitization. The core structure features micro-sized, precision geometries, including cylindrical positioning surfaces, conical mating surfaces, fine-pitch precision threads, cross-shaped or hexagonal drive slots, and pointed guiding surfaces. Overall dimensions typically range from φ1 to φ5 mm in diameter and 5 to 20 mm in length. Key precision requirements are exceptionally strict: thread pitch tolerance ±0.005 mm, cylindricity of the outer circle ≤0.003 mm, surface roughness Ra ≤0.2 μm, and the absence of burrs or machining marks—ensuring no irritation to oral tissues and preventing fastening failure.
